Pucking Wild

At dinner with the Prices, Ryan asks how Rachel and Tess met, and Tess embarrassedly admits that Rachel pulled her out of a gutter; she had gotten drunk after Troy brought his mistress to her birthday party. Afterward, Rachel helped Tess through the beginning of her separation. 

The night is late and the three hockey players need to be up early, so Ryan gives Tess his car keys to drive home later. Once Ryan is gone, Rachel asks Tess how serious she is about Ryan. Tess tells her about what happened at the beach party and is surprised at how supportive Rachel is of their relationship. Tess still feels she can’t be the person Ryan wants her to be, so Rachel tells her about Ryan confronting her the other day when she was trying to protect Tess.

Ryan drives back from practice with Ilmari and tries to fill the awkward silence, though Ilmari says he enjoys it. Ryan asks how Ilmari knew that Rachel was “the one,” and Ilmari explains that Rachel saw him like no one else did.
